What is GOAL?

The Greater Outdoor Access and Learning (GOAL) program is a grant funded by the California State Parks in collaboration with the Del Norte County Office of Education, Redwoods State and National Parks, and Redwoods Parks Conservancy, in partnership with the many Del Norte County tribes, community agencies and organizations. The

program will provide year-round educational, recreational, career, and stewardship opportunities for youth, families, and the senior/elder community. Local community members will explore the numerous public outdoor lands located within the county, including those who experience barriers that prevent them from easily accessing these parks.
